Once again the newsletter is late but its preparation has coincided with AI Factory being re-located, so delays were pretty likely. This issue takes on a very strong theme of optimisation, one article addressing speed and the other data size. Issues of time and space optimisation have diminished over the last decade as PCs and consoles became larger and faster, but this was turned upside down as gaming shifted to handheld devices. Now data size is more concerned about download sizes than space used on the device, which is becoming increasingly a sensitive issue as the competition for network bandwidth increases.
