TaiPei was created as a solitaire game that could be played using the counters of the very popular Chinese gambling game Mah-jong. It also is known under the names "Shanghai" and Mah-jong Solitaire", but all these are based on the older Chinese game called "The Turtle". The game involves removing (beautiful) Mah-jong tiles from a stack of tiles, but only removing matching tiles. This is a contemplative and "Zen like" game.
